I have been meaning to write a new blog post, but the past few weeks have been very hectic, and there was always something that seemed to be more urgent. The week after my last blog post, the new semester began. I'm taking a drawing class, which lasts from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; a web-blended public speaking class which meets on wednesdays; and an english class that meets from 6:00pm to 9:20 pm on Thursdays.
Two weeks ago, my car broke down coming home from picking up my supplies for drawing class. So, after spending eighty five dollars to have it towed home, we called a mechanic friend of the family to come have a look at it. First, he said it was the gas filter, then he replaced the spark plugs. When neither of those worked, he replaced the fuel regulator, then declared it "fixed".
The next day, I got in the car and left for school, and turned out that the car was doing the exact same thing as it was before. When I fianally got the car back to the house, we called the mechanic again, and he came back out to look at the car. This time, he determined that part of the exhaust is crushed, causing a blockage which makes fumes back up into the engine which makes it run sluggishly and kills the engine. I'll believe it when I actually make it to school and back in the car.
